We engaged MNA Digital for SEO and website work over an extended period, and unfortunately the results didn’t reflect the level of investment. Throughout the engagement, we were regularly advised that work was being carried out to fix and improve the website. However, after carrying out our own review using tools such as SEMrush, we identified a number of basic technical issues still present. These included broken links, missing or incorrect redirects, and general site health concerns that would normally be expected to be resolved as part of ongoing SEO management. We also found multiple location-based landing pages (e.g. “Payroll Birmingham”, “Payroll Sheffield”) that were identical copies, with only the location changed. This raised concerns about the quality of the SEO approach being used. Content produced during the engagement was often generic and, in some cases, lacked the level of technical accuracy we would expect. There also didn’t appear to be a clear strategy around conversion or how the website should generate enquiries. In the last few weeks, working independently, we’ve been able to resolve a number of these issues and improve the structure and messaging of the site in a relatively short space of time. When we raised these concerns, no refund or commercial resolution was offered, which was disappointing given the above. Overall, given the high level of fees involved, we would have expected these fundamentals to have been addressed much earlier.
